Names Stephen Chrisanthus as Associate Director
(Delray Beach, FL – January 28, 2014) Stephanie Immelman, executive director of the Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative is pleased to announce that Stephen Chrisanthus has been named the organization’
Chrisanthus, 34, has a strong background in marketing and finance and is focused on destination marketing and promoting Delray Beach globally to business and leisure travelers with a goal of making a significant impact on the community’s economic development efforts.
The former owner and marketing manager of a beach club in the Mexican resort community of Cabo San Lucas, Chrisanthus works closely with local hotels, restaurants and others in the hospitality industry, hoping to increase tourism-related visits to the area throughout the year, with an emphasis on the summer and shoulder seasons.
"Delray Beach is easy to promote because it has a lot to offer,” he said. “Receiving the Most Fun Small Town in America designation has helped people become more familiar with Delray Beach. Now they need to know all there is to do here, not just during the winter months but also during the summer and shoulder seasons.
Chrisanthus said the DBMC under Immelman’s direction is focused on continuing to expand its events beyond the city’s traditional downtown and promote the entire area.
Prior to coming to Delray Beach, Chrisanthus served as the director of marketing and business development for an independent finance and insurance company and has also held positions in the finance industry with JP Morgan Chase and Morgan Stanley.
He holds a bachelors degree in communications from the College of Charleston and a masters degree in public relations from New York University.
