Follow on Google News | February 2014 Most Wanted Business of the MonthCongratulation to CJ Puotinen of Tap the World EFT for being selected as Helena's Most Wanted Business of the Month for February 2014.
By: Tap the World EFT “Our best health insurance is accurate information and the tools to use it,” says Puotinen. Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT, is an acupressure tapping procedure that is widely known to reduce stress and anxiety, but is versatile and effective for every imaginable situation. “EFT is easy to use, easy to learn, and easy to share with others. It’s so simple that children as young as six or eight can learn it,” according to Puotinen. EFT founder Gary Craig received many worldwide reports of ways in which the technique had been successfully utilized, “Try it on everything” became the motto. EFT was developed in the 1990s, and has steadily gained global popularity. Puotinen works with clients in Montana, New York and around the world in person, by phone and Skype. “It’s safe to say that New Yorkers are a little more stressed and anxious than most of the people I’ve met in Montana, but their issues are otherwise similar. People want to improve their health, lose weight, feel better, and work more efficiently wherever they live,” says Puotinen. “They want to improve their relationships with others, get their negative self-talk out of the way, improve their finances, and improve their golf game or other sports performance.” Puotinen grew up in rural Oregon, so despite living just outside New York City for 35 years, her move to Helena was a comfortable transition. “It was easy to meet people because my Labrador Retriever, Chloe, is a therapy dog and we were able to begin volunteering right away,” explains Puotinen. She and Chloe work with the Reading Education Assistance Dogs, or READ, literacy program every week at Radley School in East Helena and Bryant School in Helena, as well as visiting the Behavioral Health Unit at St. Peter’s Hospital every other week. Puotinen also volunteers with Helena Community Gardens, teaching natural food preservation workshops. Though Puotinen has only been in Montana four and a half years, her volunteer work with animal therapy groups and her work via Tap the World EFT has affected our community. “My other professional certifications are in the field of health coaching, so my focus in everything I do and teach is overall wellness,” says Puotinen. She learned about Helena’s Most Wanted through the Helena Biz to Biz group and liked its approach. To learn more about EFT or register for a session or workshop, visit www.taptheworldeft.com.
