PRLog - Jan. 29, 2014 - HOUSTON -- PODS® Houston will assist the Hamilton family into their new home as keys are handed over Tuesday, Jan. 28. The official moving and storage partner of Houston’s Habitat for Humanity Home Builds last year provided deserving families with safe and reliable PODS® containers at no cost, saving $35,000 in logistics for 13 families. The Hamilton family—the parents and their one- and eight-year-old children is the first Houston Habitat for Humanity move with PODS assistance for 2014.
In 2013, PODS Houston became the official partner for Houston Habitat for Humanity’s Home Builds program, providing deserving families with moving and storage services at no cost. Phil Dvorak, Managing Partner for PODS Houston, is an enthusiastic supporter of local charities, stepping in every month to donate thousands of dollars of his own trucks, fuel and staff. Dvorak makes giving back to Houston a crucial part of his philosophy of running a successful business. Dvorak was awarded the “Neighborhood Heroes Award” for all this philanthropic aid throughout the community.
“January is the time when people make New Year’s resolutions, and make fresh starts. PODS Houston is honored to help the Hamilton Family move into their new home,” says Dvorak. “We are excited to continue our support to Houston Habitat for Humanity in 2014. We feel our moving and storage model is a natural fit to help these families start their new lives in their new homes.”
PODS® Houston, Phil Dvorak and Habitat for Humanity look forward to working closely with Habitat for Humanity in the 2014 year to ensure families have a secure home.
“We’re definitely less stressed and so excited about what PODS® Houston and Habitat for Humanity is doing for our family,” says Mr. Hamilton. “Our one-year-old son and eight-year-old daughter now have their own rooms and more space to play in. Our experiences with both Habitat and PODS® have been extremely professional and reliable, and they’re saving us so much money on our move. We’re forever grateful.”
The Hamilton family plans to move in on Tuesday, Jan. 28 in the Harrell Park neighborhood of Houston.
