World of Beer Land O' Lakes Remembers Theater Shooting Victim

LAND O' LAKES, Fla. - Jan. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- World of Beer (WOB) Land O’ Lakes, a beer-centric tavern known for an extensive collection of craft brews from around the world, will host a fundraiser to support the family of the late Chad Oulson, whose life was tragically taken in a local movie theatre on January 13, 2014. The event will take place Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 7pm – 1am at World of Beer Land O’ Lakes, located at 2081 Collier Parkway in Land O Lakes, Florida.

Chad Oulson, husband to Nicole and father to 3-year old daughter Lexy, was shot and killed in a tragic incident at a movie theater in Wesley Chapel, FL, an incident that has shaken this small community. To celebrate the life of Chad Oulson and to provide support for the family left behind, WOB Land O’ Lakes is hosting an event and fundraiser, with a portion of the proceeds from the evening going directly to the Oulson family.

“This senseless crime was shocking and devastating to the family and to everyone in the surrounding community,” said Amanda Edwards, General Manager of WOB Land O’ Lakes. “We just want to do everything we can to assist the Chad Oulson’s family and to show them that they have our full support at this time.”

For this event, WOB Land O’ Lakes will be partnering with Moe’s Southwest Grill, located next door, who has agreed to donate 25% of all sales for that entire day to the Oulson family. Brewery partner Big Storm Brewing will be donating swag for event attendees, with a 50/50 raffle being held, with 50% of the proceeds going to the winner and the other 50% going to the Oulson family. In addition, a grand gift basket full of WOB and brewery items will be available for auction at the event.

$1 from every draft beer sale will be donated directly to the Oulson family. Live music will be provided by Keko & Mo’ Gravy starting at 7pm, at which point admittance is only allowed to those 21 & over.
