Charcroft acquires Bowtech Electronics

LLANWRTYD WELLS, Wales - Jan. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Charcroft Electronics Ltd., – a specialist distributor of passive, power supplies, emech and interconnect products and a manufacturer of precision, legacy and custom passives – has completed the acquisition of Bowtech Electronics. The acquisition extends Charcroft’s product linecard with frequency-control components, temperature sensors, antennae, elapsed time indicators, electrolytic tilt sensors and solenoids as well as DC and gear motors. Both Charcroft and Bowtech are CECC-approved and franchised distributors for Syfer Technology and Novacap, enabling a seamless transfer of orders for these parts

The acquisition was agreed following the retirement of Bowtech managing director, Peter Hunter, who will continue to work closely with Charcroft during the transfer of the Bowtech order-book, and also to offer specialist advice for new customers.

“Like many of Charcroft’s products, the Bowtech components are used in specialist applications and therefore need the support of a distributor who is prepared to offer very high levels of service on relatively low volumes of product,” explains Debbie Rowland, Charcroft sales manager.
