Follow on Google News | Turin, Italy’s El Barrio To Host The Emergenza Rock Festival On December 15Emergenza is bringing its rock festival to Turin’s Barrio stage for a night of competition on Sunday December 15, 2013.
Emergenza is the world's largest festival for up and coming unsigned bands. It holds concerts in more than 180 cities around the world. It features up and coming bands from across the globe. The festival is held in elimination rounds in different countries throughout the year. The first rounds are decided by the attending audience. The vote is open and the audience members can vote as many times as they want and for as many bands as they choose. The final rounds are decided by a jury panel of professional judges. All national winners are flown to Germany at Emergenza’s expense for the international finals. Emergenza also pays for accommodations and local transportation. The international finals are held each August at the Taubertal Open Air Festival. Bands competing in the international finals have the honor of sharing the stage and bill with some of rocks biggest legends. The winner of the international finals is crowned the “Best Band in the World” and wins a tour, promotion, studio time, musical instruments and more! Seven bands will take to the stage at the El Barrio to compete in a thirty minute set; electro pop rock band FASE 39, cantautorale band T.O.C., post grunge band Mud Of Shame, rock band Castle Square, alternative rock band Il Mercato Del Vetro, metal band Bad Weather Project and rock band Back To Front.
