A digital signature uses encryption technology to uniquely identify the signatory’s login details.Typically, digital signatures are “signed” by ticking a box, or submitting a form that acknowledges the acceptance of terms and conditions by the uniquely identifiable logged in user who has a unique username and password.

Legislative measures have also been taken regarding electronic signature due to the rise in e-commerce.
