HICKORY, N.C. - Jan. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- FutureCycle Press (www.futurecycle.org) is pleased to announce the publication of Rough Beast by Tim Peeler.

Set on what remains of a small family farm in the Blue Ridge foothills of Western North Carolina, Rough Beast depicts the quirky ascension of Larry Ledbetter from small-time country gangster to unwilling literary lion. Larry’s voice is the engine that drives the sometimes comic but often violent narrative. In his attempt to come to grips with both personal tragedies and his inexplicable success, Larry reveals his vulnerability and shared humanity.

A past winner of the Jim Harrison Award for contributions to baseball literature, Tim Peeler has also been a Casey Award Finalist (baseball book of the year) and a finalist for the SIBA Award. He lives with his wife Penny in Hickory, North Carolina, where he directs the academic assistance programs at Catawba Valley Community College. Rough Beast is his twelfth book.

Rough Beast is now available in both paperback and Kindle editions from the Catalog tab at the FutureCycle Press website (www.futurecycle.org) and on Amazon.
