Esh Recordings brings a new weapon to Denver's music recording scene. Style

DENVER - Jan. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Coming into 2014 with a bang is Esh Recordings, in Englewood Colorado. This young recording studio gives the concept of a recording studio a facelift with interesting architectural design and colors that shout "Hey! We're posh!" The studio has a bright, fun atmosphere with a color scheme of red and lime green that is consistent throughout the building. They also further the fun-loving vibe with such amenities as a foosball table and more couches than most bands have members.

But this studio delivers more than just flashy paint and foosball, they bring quality. If you listen to music recorded at Esh, you will hear tight, punchy drums, ripping synths, powerful guitars and hard hitting bass. The staff have an insatiable desire for sound quality, and they know how to get it.

Upon entering any studio's control room, one will almost always notice the console first. This is where Esh begins to show it's uniqueness, you won't find a vanilla console there, oh no, the studio touts a custom designed, modular desk filled to the brim with rack units, built to be the perfect height for the engineer to stand at, rather than sit.

The main live room is moderately large, with high ceilings, and is the home to a Hammond organ and a Steinway piano, as well as one of their multiple in house drumsets. The funky vibe of the CR is carried on into this space with acoustic treatment on the walls that looks like it belongs in a modern art gallery rather than a recording studio. The isolation booth is dim and cozy, with chic fabric covering the walls giving a relaxing vibe, a nice change from the "I'm in a closet with foam on the walls" feel. Not to mention the supremely large window that looks out into the live room, and eventually the control room.

The engineers and producers at Esh have backgrounds in genres ranging from EDM to Christian Post-Hardcore and are notorious for pushing the boundaries of musical styles and blending genres into a sort-of musical smoothie. Most of the staff seem to be younger than what you will find in most commercial studios, however, the quality of production is remarkably high. This seems to be because the staff is able to focus on the emotion of the music as much as the preamp selection and microphone placement.

Overall, one must say that Esh Recordings is a an excellent studio, especially taking into account the shockingly low price point. How they are able to offer so much for so little is truly a wonder. The studio offers tours weekly, talent is encouraged to schedule private tours in advance due to limited spots. After an in depth look into this young, effervescent recording studio, we find a deep passion for music with a cheerful exterior.
