Florida-Based Businesses Talk Capital Formation

Jan. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- (BOCA RATON, FL Jan 26, 2014) - The Gold Coast Venture Capital Association will begin the New Year with a prestigious panel providing their insights and answering questions regarding capital formation and fundraising for start-ups. The event will be held at the Embassy Suites in Boca Raton on Wednesday, January 29th at 5 pm.

The panel will be moderated by David Bates, Chairman of the GCVCA and shareholder of the Gunster law firm and Co-Chairman of the firm’s Technology & Entrepreneurial Companies Practice.  Panelists include Joanna Schwartz, the CEO of EarlyShares.com, an equity crowdfunding platform based in Miami that has been gaining recent local and national attention, Jack Karabees, a co-founder of the Miami Innovation Fund, Frank D'Ambra, Senior Vice President and COO of Poiesis Medical, Jason Brown, a member of the accounting firm BDO Seidman and Kevin Levy, a shareholder in Gunster's Miami office.
