My Beauty Is Priceless And Sons Of Solomon Youth Empowerment

DAYTON, Ohio - Jan. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- 'My Beauty is Priceless (MBIP) and Sons of Solomon' (SOS) will hold its next seminar for ages 11-18 male and female on February 22, 2014 from 9 am to 1:30 pm at De’Lish Cafe located at 139 N. Main Street, Dayton, OH 45402.  The Dayton Emerging Fashion Incubator (DE-FI) LLC is excited to be introducing the world of fashion and design to our Dayton area youth as a creative outlet for them to express themselves!  We are honored and humbled to have the Founder and CEO of TIME Magazine recognized Midwest Fashion Week and designer of Catou, Berny Martin as a guest speaker!

We have teamed up with (DE-FI) Designers to help our youth bring out their inner creativity.  Starting in May each month the youth will meet with designers to help design clothes; and, at the end of the year, we will host a fashion unveiling of what they have created over the past months. The participants of both seminars will then take what they have learned from the designers and produce their own fashion show in December 2014, featuring their own designs, with an issue of (DE-FI)ance Magazine dedicated to their work!

Over the past 3 years, My Beauty is Priceless and Sons of Solomon Seminars has reached hundreds of area youth in an effort to show them their self-worth.  Participating youth engage in activities that teach them about etiquette, cooking, health and wellness, education, work ethic, bullying and much more.   According to (DE-FI) Founder Caressa Brown “In the last 6 months there have been 8 school age children in the Dayton area who have committed suicide as a result of bullying; this is totally unacceptable!  The Dayton Emerging Fashion Incubator (DE-FI) LLC is proud to partner with My Beauty is Priceless and the Sons of Solomon Youth Empowerment Seminars to provide a positive and safe environment for area youth to express themselves and talk about the struggles that they are facing.”

If you are a seamstress or own a sewing machine and would like to volunteer your time to work with area youth teaching them to sew, or if you would like to donate your sewing machine, fabrics, or supplies, please contact us at info@daytonemergingfashionincubator.com.
