NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Jan. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Flight Research at NASA Langley Research Center tells the story of flight research at the nation’s first civilian government research laboratory. In the book, author Mark A. Chambers provides an overview of an amazing array of aircraft from biplanes, early rotorcraft and high-performance World War II fighters to single- and multi-engine advanced jet aircraft.

Chambers hopes “the book will reinforce the notion to readers that the Hampton Roads area of Virginia is a unique part of the United States, rich in aviation history.”

Highlights of Flight Research at NASA Langley Research Center:
