PRLog - Jan. 28, 2014 - AMSTERDAM, Netherlands -- In 2014, marketing innovation in retail will focus on the customer experience through digital media, as brands look for more dynamic and exciting ways to showcase key products and open up additional sales opportunities at the point of sale. AOPEN will be showcasing the most powerful and innovative digital display and computing solutions available to the market at Integrated Systems Europe 2014 (http://www.iseurope.org/home.php) (ISE 2014) in Amsterdam from 4-6 February.

One day before the ISE tradeshow, delegates will also get the opportunity for some hands-on time with the experts in the digital communications and digital signage technology space at the AOPEN Forum in Amsterdam (February 3). Visitors are invited to ask the experts on how to make innovative displays work for their businesses, and key speakers include rAVe Publications founder Gary Kayye and Leo van de Polder from Popai The Global Association for Marketing at Retail.

The theme for AOPEN in 2014 is ‘digital meets design’, and so our events this year will show retailers how to match the reality that in modern retail it’s important to care about more than just the technology, but also the integration of aesthetics into a store to support the customer journey.

With that philosophy in mind, one of the highlights at both shows include the presentation of the DE7200; AOPEN’s most powerful Digital Engine media player yet. In addition to being able to manage three independent full HD screens simultaneously, the real power of the DE7200 is on display when it’s running a 4k resolution display. 4k resolution is a hot topic in professional AV thanks to the ability for 4k displays to play back media in a “Ultra HD” format of up to 4096 x 2160 pixels, offering a clarity and level of detail well beyond anything we’ve seen before. To give customers that “wow” factor, having a powerful Digital Engine such as the DE7200 is a must, and ISE 2014 delegates are welcome to come and see this power on display for themselves at the show.

Attendees will also get to experience AOPEN’s new range of displays. The eTILE consists of all-in-one touchscreens available in 15”, 19” and 22” to support the most advanced set of features ever built into an aesthetically pleasing display. This display is unique in its design and unlike most commercial displays, doesn’t need an enclosure, because its sleek appeal has been designed for immediate deployment into a store.

The eTILE displays are remarkably versatile devices, featuring a high-power performance that can be utilised in-store for Point of Sale (POS) applications, as well as its application for video walls. With powered USB ports, the eTILE can have peripherals such as scanners and credit card readers attached to them seamlessly. The eTILE has 3G, 4G and WiFi options, and offers a choice of operating systems to suit the retailer’s preferred infrastructure.

The AOPEN Digital Mosaic (ADM) thin bezel displays will be released at ISE and are available in touch and without touch. The ADM has an extremely thin bezel designed for creative retailers looking for an eye-catching display. These displays are the ultimate choice for playing rich media on a video wall made out of two or more displays, especially when paired with one Digital Engine DE6140 that has been designed specifically to manage up to four independent displays. The touch displays support native touch controls for both Android and Windows, depending on the retailer’s preference.

Whether it’s a multi-touch model to enhance the customer experience through a unique tactile interaction, or a slim bezel display for a seamless visual experience, AOPEN’s new line of displays represent a new standard for exciting display technology.

It’s not just the quality of the screens and the power of computing that marks AOPEN’s new innovations. The company has also enhanced the technology under the hood. New technical innovations include the ability to track customer viewing behaviour, so the retailer can use this data to optimise the content on display for maximum feedback. It can also identify the target audience based on gender and age and even trigger content to the right target group. Retailers with point-of-sale systems, digital signs or other intelligent devices powered by AOPEN Digital Engine or all-in-one devices can remotely diagnose and quickly fix problems over their network so customer transactions are not interrupted and sales are not lost.
