AUGUSTA, Ga. - Jan. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Global Emergency Resources (GER),  leading technology solutions provider for emergency healthcare and response markets, is pleased to announce the promotion of Erika Bobbitt as President. Ms. Bobbitt, a key member of GER's top management team for the past three years, has been instrumental in achieving much of the company’s business growth in recent years. Her keen understanding of industry needs and skilled program management capabilities have helped solidify new strategic partnerships for GER in key regions of the United States.

Bobbitt has been a chief player in various new business development and sales initiatives related to GER's HC Standard® software for use in patient tracking, and overall medical surge capacity planning and implementation.

In her new role as President, Bobbitt will provide overall leadership in formulating and implementing the vision and strategic plan for GER. With over 20 years of experience in the corporate arena, Bobbitt brings a wealth of management, engineering and operational experience to her new position. She is a diversified global program management, operations, and aftermarket professional who previously worked within the Fortune 500 environment. Within GER, she has been responsible for directing all management activities associated with the quoting, contract negotiation, and order fulfillment of the HC Standard® software suite at local, state, and federal government locations.

Bobbitt’s former experience includes multiple positions at Ingersoll Rand including Director of Worldwide Technical Services and Aftermarket Support where she directed the sales, new product development and marketing activities of the $60M Service Parts business for Club Car, Inc.  Bobbitt previously led a $62M custom solutions business with full profit and loss responsibility; led an international, cross-enterprise team to create an integrated business in support of strategic initiatives and managed a $152M worldwide technical service and aftermarket support business unit.  She also served as Program Administrator for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC, and Process Implementation Manager for Electrolux Major Appliances in Augusta, Georgia.

Bobbitt received a Master of Science Management from Purdue University, Krannert School of Management, West Lafayette, IN; an M.B.A. from Tilburg University, TiasNimbas Business School Netherlands; and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN.  She received her PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification from the Project Management Institute in 2005.
