Linda Angles Elected Deputy Chairman of the Information Security Forum

NEW YORK - Jan. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- The Information Security Forum (https://www.securityforum.org/) (ISF), a global, independent information security body considered the world's leading authority on cyber security and information risk management,has announced that Linda Angles has been elected to the Executive Board and will serve as Deputy Chairman. In this role, Angles will play a key role in managing and directing the operation of the not-for-profit organization.

As Deputy Chairman, Angles will be tasked with ensuring that the business of Executive Council is conducted efficiently and effectively and in accordance with the ISF Constitution. She will assist the Council Chairman in handling ISF business, working in close harmony with, and assuming responsibility for, matters delegated to her by the Chairman.  She will also perform the functions of the Council Chairman in the Chair’s absence.

Angles has more than 20 years of security experience including roles as the Corporate Information Security and Governance Officer of The Guardian Life Insurance Company and as an adjunct professor, teaching Information Security Governance in the Seton Hall University MBA program. Angles currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at FXall, a foreign exchange trading platform that is part of Thomson Reuters, where she is responsible for defining security policies and standards, developing and implementing risk management methods, monitoring key information risks and IT compliance. Additionally, Angles has worked for world class organizations such as Citigroup Corporate Investment Bank and Arthur Andersen. She is certified in information security management (CISM) and risk management (CRISC) from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
