Mr. DeGreve will soon become the proud owner of both a 1969 Corvette 427 Convertible and a matching 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible!
Mr. DeGreve entered the giveaway on two separate occasions each time making a $20 donation. He was stunned when he received the winning phone call, “When they told me I had won I was in shock,” Mr. DeGreve said. “You never really plan on winning something like this.”
Mr. DeGreve, who in his free time enjoys detailing cars, going for drives with his wife Julie, and spending time with his two grandsons Cam and Eli, has worked for John Deere for the past 37 years. It wasn’t until he received an email for the Corvette Dream Giveaway that he decided to enter, “I have been an automotive enthusiast my entire life,” Mr. DeGreve said. “My wife is always telling me how I need to go to AA…Automobiles Anonymous.”
Mr. DeGreve along with his wife will accept the keys to both Corvettes on January 31, 2014. As excited as Mr. DeGreve was to be named the winner of the giveaway, he didn’t forget the causes his donation went to support, “Having the opportunity to help support a great cause such as this is the best part of it all,” Mr. DeGreve said. “It makes your decision to enter so easy because you know your donation will be helping a wonderful cause.”
