Insiris Launches scanIQ - Next Generation Proof of Presence & Asset Management

Organisations are under pressure to provide an audit trail of the delivery of their service to customers and clients - such as being asked to prove that a customer site was visited, or that work was done. To date, this manual process has included the capturing of evidence such as photos, videos, and sometimes GPS positions. Whilst capturing such data provides some measure of proof, none of these can provide definitive proof that a business visited a particular location at a site (such as a specific floor in a building), spent a certain amount of time at a customer, or worked on a certain piece of equipment. Organisations face further issues with recording the use of assets - such as reading meters or recording the service of equipment out in the field.

scanIQ solves these problems using existing Android smartphones, Near Field Communication (NFC) technology and scanIQ 'tags'. Tags (ranging from simple stickers, to ruggedised discs) are fixed to doors, floors, stock items and more. A worker simply taps the tag using their existing smartphone. scanIQ immediately records the visit, along with a timestamp and GPS position, available for immediate reporting in the scanIQ Web App. If the item being scanned is present in the scanIQ Web App, further information is displayed to the user such as a service details, instructions, PDFs of schematics, maps and more.
