FORTALEZA, Brazil - Jan. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- As a vast, subtropical country, Brazil offers superb opportunities to observe many species of wildlife.  And with Travel Brazil Selection, specialist in made-to-measure Brazil holidays, the options for observing Brazilian wildlife are many and varied.

The company’s options for Brazil safaris include the opportunity to travel to the Pantanal – the world’s largest wetland in the world – in the South of Brazil to spot jaguar, or to revel in the astonishing flora and fauna to be seen on Amazon holidays, in the northern part of the country.

What’s more, all the Pantanal vacation packages and Amazon vacation packages on offer from Travel Brazil Selection can be tailored to suit clients’ requirements, and may be enjoyed either as part of a longer Brazil vacation, or as the sole purpose of a visit to Brazil.  Find an overview of the company’s high quality Brazil safaris at http://www.travel-brazil-selection.com/by-themes/safaris-and-wildlife-vacation

Before booking any Brazil safaris, whether Amazon holidays or travel to the Pantanal, vacationers should take into account the climate conditions that normally prevail at the time of year during which they plan to travel. In the Pantanal, the dry season is from May to September, and is normally the best time to get close up to the animals.  Be aware, though, that temperatures can also drop well below freezing.  The rainy season, from October to March, is characterized by more moderate temperatures, but heavy rains also fall from time to time.  As much of the Pantanal region is underwater, the animals move into smaller areas, which makes it easier to observe them.

Among the Pantanal vacation packages available from Travel Brazil Selection are 3-day trips to the end of the Transpantaneira to observe jaguar; 3 or 4 day stays on a genuine 15,000 hectare fazenda (large farm), the perfect overview of the Pantanal and its remarkable fauna, and island fazenda stays which give a unique insight into the life of a cowboy.  Find out more about opportunities to travel to the Pantanal at http://www.travel-brazil-selection.com/brazil/voyages-pantanal

Turning to the Amazon region, the rainy season is from approximately January to June.  The rains can be non-stop and heavy, but on the other hand, an abundance of flora and fauna can be seen.  Many travelers will prefer, however, to take their Amazon holidays between July and December, which is the dry season.

The Amazon basin is similar in area to Europe, covering some 7 million km,2 and comprises three different environments: terra firma, never reached by the waters and covered by the imposing rainforest, the Varzea, which the rising and falling waters submerge and reveal by turns, and the permanently flooded Igapo (swamp).

Take to the rivers and waterways to explore this astonishing, lush world, home to no fewer than 50,000 different types of plants and trees.  Although the Brazilian wildlife here is less abundant and jaguars tend to be harder to spot than in the Pantanal, there are monkeys, capybaras, sloths, otters, botes (pink Amazon river dolphins) and alligators to be seen.

Travel Brazil Selection offers a variety of Amazon and Rio Negro cruises, as well as the opportunity to visit historic Manaus, in the heart of the jungle.  Discover more about these Amazon holidays at http://www.travel-brazil-selection.com/brazil/amazon

In short, for the finest selection of Pantanal vacation packages, Amazon vacation packages and Brazil safaris, Travel Brazil Selection is the discerning clients’ company of choice.
