George Washington Elementary Awarded Honorable Mention in Elementary Yearbook Design, Cover Design, Photography, and Page Layout In National Yearbook Competition

Jan. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- Entourage Yearbooks announced their 4th Annual National Yearbook Competition awards, recognizing George Washington Elementary from Pennsylvania with the distinctive Honorable Mention in Elementary Yearbook Design, Cover Design, Photography, and Page Layout. The Entourage National Yearbook Competition is a nationally sponsored contest judging school yearbooks across the dimensions of creativity, originality, and journalistic relevance.  Hundreds of schools enter across all fifty states at the Elementary, Middle School, and very competitive High School level.

This achievement recognizes George Washington Elementary for putting together a notable yearbook at the Elementary School level.  Their entry was submitted at the end of June 2013 and was officially awarded on October 16th, 2013.  The George Washington Elementary yearbook was selected from hundreds of schools who had submitted entries from around the country.

"I am extremely grateful that the 2013 yearbook was awarded in all four categories of the contest," said Yearbook Advisor, Jolene Ward. "Putting the yearbook together took a great deal of time and effort but it was a wonderful experience capturing all of the memories and putting them together for our amazing students, staff and families. I am so thankful to everyone who helped last year and very much looking forward to presenting another great year of memories."

More about Entourage’s National Yearbook Competition:

This is the 4th annual Entourage National Yearbook Competition in recognition of schools with yearbooks created by students and school volunteers.  To participate, schools had to submit their yearbook content into categories for overall yearbook, page design, photography, and cover design.  This year over 800 schools entered the competition.

Judging of the contest entries is based on a balanced rating across the dimensions of creativity, originality and journalistic relevance. Schools are judged separately at the Elementary, Middle School and High School levels. The judging committee is composed of both expert yearbook journalists at Entourage and invited yearbook experts from across the industry.

"We’re thrilled by the level of achievement seen among this year's competitors and winners.  I want to personally wish all the schools who have received an award a well deserved congratulations.” says Entourage’s President Elias Jo.
