Chevrolet Spark Passes New Crash Test | McElveen Automotive

PRLog - Jan. 24, 2014 - CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA —The Chevrolet Spark was recently the only subcompact car to pass a new crash test from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety!

The new test measures a vehicle’s safety in a front-end collision test in which a vehicle strikes a barrier going 40 miles per hour on the driver’s side of the car. Out of the vehicles to undergo this new test, the Chevrolet Spark was the only subcompact car to earn a score of “Acceptable.”

“Small, lightweight vehicles have an inherent safety disadvantage. That’s why it’s even more important to choose one with the best occupant protection,” says Joe Nolan, the institute’s senior vice president for vehicle research.
