ATLANTA - Jan. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- RIMSHOT Urban Musical tells a dynamic story through music, prose, song, and dance about the challenges of independent artistry, the lures of the recording industry and the importance of avoiding the dangers associated with a quick route to "fame".  The production has a social agenda--to bring awareness to human trafficking.  The production is appropriate for all ages and proceeds benefit educational and prevention initiatives related to the epidemic.

Cathelean Steele, Director of The Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) has launched 'Justice For Girls' as part of a nationwide “stop the violence" initiative.  'Justice For Girls' directly impacts the outcome of sex-trafficking.  Rimshot Urban Musical has partnered with the National SCLC's 'Justice For Girls' to host a show on March 1, 2014 at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church in Southwest Atlanta.  Passkey Choice, a multimedia/entertainment company has been named as the promotional entity behind the effort.

"Our production extends itself beyond the stage.  We also host educational workshops to address other issues presented in the play to include peer pressure, images in media, positive self-image, and the grooming process associated with abusive relationships.  We are thankful to Passkey Choice for helping us establish a partnership with the SCLC's 'Justice For Girls' and Jackson Memorial Baptist Church.  They are making a real difference in our community", says Angela Carswell, Playwright and Executive Producer.

"We've launched a tour, focusing on every major city identified as a hub for human trafficking," says Reggie Cason, Creative Director and co-Executive Producer.  "In August of 2013, we served the SCLC during their National Convention to conduct an interactive learning experience educating the convention attendees about the epidemic.  This event was during the 50th Anniversary of the historic March on Washington.  Our artists engaged hundreds of march participants with our message and our efforts were featured on Living Strong Television".

The creative team is actively seeking advertisers, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners to support the movement.  For additional details, visit www.RimshotUrbanMusical.com, call 678-306-3616 or follow on Twitter @OfficialRimshot.
