Incredibly Short Film Festival
- Jan. 23, 2014 - NEWPORT, R.I. --
The Marley Bridges Theatre Company (MBTC) is seeking entries for the first annual "Incredibly Short Film Festival" or ISFF. The ISFF is a film festival comprised of movies which are no longer than 60 seconds. In a world where 6 second vines are all the rage, this film festival seeks to challenge those same filmmakers to stretch their narrative out to 10 times the length of a vine. "Compared to vines, these are epic pictures on the scale of Ben Hur!" says Patrick Grimes, Artistic Director of the Marley Bridges Theatre Company. In addition to film submissions, the MBTC is also looking for local businesses to get involved through sponsorship of the festival.
Films must be considered rated "R" or lower and can be in any genre - Comedy, Drama, Musical, Documentary, Animated etc. The film's running time to qualify does not include credits. To guarantee that the filmmakers can include credits, an additional 15 seconds has been allotted to "Total credits time" which includes opening and closing credits. Films will be shown during the commercial breaks at the 4th annual Oscar Party at the Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center in downtown Newport, RI.
Entries are being accepted through February 25, 2014. Complete rules and submission guidelines can be found at http://www.filmfestivallife.com/Incredibly-Short-Film-Fes...
