A Queensland Cartogram for Mapping by Postcode

BRISBANE, Australia - Jan. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Do you use postcode boundaries to map your data? If so, you will have encountered issues such as changing boundary shapes and sizes, and huge differences in size between urban and rural postcode areas.

GIS People’s (http://www.gispeople.com.au/) Dr Chris Skelly has developed an innovative solution to this problem – a cartogram for Queensland that aggregates the postcodes to larger and more regular geographical areas, allowing for a more robust geographic visualisation and a way to map time-series data.
