GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Jan. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Leica has released the DISTO D810 touch, a new laser distance meter that includes a touch screen and “measure with a picture feature” that allows surveyors, architects, carpenters and other users to obtain distances heights, are and volumes quickly and react to design changes.  It also can verify dimensions, measure precisely and document changes by taking photos with the integrated camera.  In addition, the free app Leica DISTO sketch complements and functionality of D810 allows users to obtain width, height, area and diameter.  Two arrows in the picture mark the desired dimension, and the measured value appears in the display. An overview camera is
available for large objects.  Images can be downloaded to a computer via a USB interface.  The tripod adapter FTA360 provides for precise targeting with the DISTO D810 touch, making it easier to target over long distance and increasing accuracy for indirect measurements.  The Leica DISTO D810 features a measuring range up to 200 meters and measuring accuracy of plus/minus 1mm, according to ISO standard 16331-1.
