Follow on Google News | Madison Who’s Who Recognizes Suketu PatelSuketu Patel has a strong academic foundation, first earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Drexel University, immediately following this with obtaining a Master’s degree in the same discipline at Johns Hopkins University. In the intervening years he continued to achieve academic designations to serve his career. Mr. Patel studied Clinical Trial Management via Temple University’s Certificate Program, in addition to receiving a Master of Science in Pharmacy Administration and Pharmacy Policy and Regulatory Affairs from this university. In addition to his career, Suketu Patel works in nonprofit strategic collaborations. Since 2006 he became the local BAPS Charities Medical Services Volunteer Coordinator in Philadelphia, and he advocated for improved community health with successful Medicare Part D initial enrollment outreach education in Gujarati and English with the support of AstraZeneca. Later on the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA) mentored him to conduct what would be the first of many successful annual health fairs. Suketu Patel was also enlisted as a founding member fellow of the Asian Advisory Committee of the American Cancer Society. To fortify his abilities in the non profit field Mr. Patel participated in West Chester University of Pennsylvania Full Year Certificate Program and graduated with Honors in Nonprofit Board Leadership. He also has been certified in nonprofit fundraising by Delaware County Community College. In addition to his work with BAPS Charities and the American Cancer Society, Suketu Patel has worked closely with: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Hepatitis B Foundation, Susan G. Komen, Alzheimer's Association, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and National Council on Aging. In 2009, he established a national partnership with American Red Cross and BAPS Charities to conduct culturally relevant annual blood drives at many of over 60 BAPS centers across North America. A few months ago on October 29, 2013, Suketu Patel received one of his greatest honors. He was presented with the East Central Division Volunteer of the Year award from the American Cancer Society for his distinguished volunteer service in public health and prevention. The East Central Division covers all of Pennsylvania and Ohio. Suketu’s dedication to serving others comes from the inspirer of BAPS Charities, Pramukh Swami Maharaj, who lives by a profoundly simple life motto that he often says, “In the joy of others lies our own. In the progress of others rests our own. In the good of others abides our own. Know this to be the key to peace and happiness.” Suketu has enjoyed working with many agency representatives, volunteers, and supporters in his philanthropic pursuits to improve the lives of as many people as he possibly can.
