The new version 2.3, available in the Google Play Store as of now, offers a number of major new features, first and foremost Presentation Mode, which lets users play slideshows and thus present their maps directly on their mobile Android device. A second crucial addition is the map export, allowing mind mappers to choose between nine different export options. Other new features include support for inline images and attachments, as well as the greatly anticipated options of logging in via Facebook, Twitter, Google, OpenID and Unilogin.
“We’re very satisfied with this update,” says MeisterLabs Managing Director Michael Hollauf. “For a long time our Android app was a bit of a neglected sideact, always a little behind its iOS counterpart. Now it’s quickly catching up, with the newly added Presentation Mode being the first major step in that direction. The next update will not only bring our Android app on a level playing field with the iOS app, but also include a completely refreshed design in line with the web app’s flat UI.”
Additionally, a number of enhancements make for an overall smoother and more pleasing user experience. The user interface as well as performance were improved, and a new quick action menu now ensures a simple and time saving editing of topics.
Further enhancements include:
Editable connections between topics
Topic text editable inline via double tap
Improved “My Account” view
Display of zoom level
Bugfixes, stability enhancements and error logging
