CASTLE DONINGTON, U.K. - Jan. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Spatial Global Limited, the freight forwarding and logistics subsidiary within The Keswick Enterprises Group Limited, has won the prestigious Project Forwarding Award in the British International Freight Association’s (BIFA’s) Freight Service Awards 2013.

Now in their 25th year, the Awards are among the highest profile and most respected in the freight industry.  The competition is designed to encourage and reward high standards and professionalism.

The prize was presented to Rachel Morley, General Manager Operations for Spatial’s Freight division, by television celebrity Julia Bradbury at a luncheon ceremony held in London on 16 January 2014.

Spatial Global was selected for the manner in which it tackled a high-profile project to transport bespoke 45-metre tall lighting masts from the manufacturers in the UK and mainland Europe to the Manuka Oval on the other side of the world in Canberra, Australia, on a tight deadline.

The BIFA judges commented: “Spatial impressed by undertaking a major project that demonstrated project forwarding at its best.  It involved co-ordinating the arrival of cargo from multiple destinations to meet a fixed installation sequence with excellent planning.”

Bryan Hindle, Managing Director of Spatial Global, said: “We may not be the biggest logistics provider in the world, but I believe we work harder than our larger competitors.  This Award shows that we can compete successfully on a global stage, by having a highly motivated and experienced team, and providing high quality services at low cost.  Our aim is to offer clients great communication, detailed planning, high creativity, attention to detail, excellent customer care and superb value.”

This is the second major BIFA Award that Spatial has picked up in recent years.  In 2010 it won the Association’s ‘Special Services’ Award for its holiday dialysis medications service.

The Project Forwarding Award is sponsored by insurance broker Peter Lole & Co. Ltd, and was one of nine Awards presented this year.  The competition was open to providers of project forwarding services, or companies that have developed a special project in order to meet the requirements of their customer.
