Fertility Center of Charleston Patients Speak out About Positive Experience

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. - Jan. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Infertility is an issue that millions of couples face.   Whether the fertility problems are unexplained, due to male factor infertility or a specific issue with the woman, choosing to undergo fertility treatment can be a difficult decision.  The good news is that there are many options available for couples seeking to start a family.

   Another patient encourages those waiting to take the first step.  She states, "My advice to anyone struggling with infertility:  stop waiting.  I was worried about cost.  It was why I waited so long.   It was not nearly what I thought and is more affordable than I ever imagined."   At The Fertility Center of Charleston, patients meet with a financial coordinator who evaluates insurance benefits and financial options for each couple before treatment begins.

  And finally, advise for those considering egg donors: let your physician guide you.  A fertility patient states,  “Our physician Dr. Singleton was very caring and empathized with us and guided to making the decision to use a donor egg.  She gave us confidence with this choice.   She created a way of understanding, and was familiar with the egg bank we chose.  Let your physician take away the unknown.”

And simple advice for those patients that may have tried fertility treatments but have been unsuccessful: Go with your gut and don’t give up hope.  The patients stated, “You have got to keep going.   It might not work the first time.   We switched from another physician with a feeling that we may not move forward.  Then we met Dr. Singleton, she gave us the hope and courage to continue.”
