The Mompreneur™ Tapped to Host Federal Pre-Budget Consultation Forum for Women Business Leaders

TORONTO - Jan. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- The Mompreneur™ will host the first of a series of pre-budget consultation sessions with the GTA’s leading Business Women and Mompreneurs on Monday, January 27^th in Oakville ON. Member of Parliament Eve Adams announced that she will spearhead this initiative in advance of the 2014 Spring Federal Budget. The announcement comes as a series of pre-budget consultations that are taking place across the country.

Mompreneur™ Showcase Group Inc. Founder, Maria Locker and MP Eve Adams will bring together female business leaders from across the GTA to engage in a discussion about their priorities for the upcoming budget. “The goal and mission of The Mompreneur™ has always been to advocate for women in business, especially moms, and to provide resources, solutions and a voice for women business owners.” says Maria. “This initiative aligns perfectly with our members’ needs and allows them to provide feedback and hopefully inform policy and procedure moving forward.”

The pre-budget consultation will aim to focus on the priorities that mean the most to moms, their families and their businesses. “I’m looking forward to listening and gaining a better understanding of how we can make life easier and more affordable across the GTA, I look forward to our conversation and to suggestions on improving the quality of life in the GTA and encouraging their business success,” said Ms. Adams. “I’m looking forward to receiving suggestions from moms who are successful small, medium and large business owners. It’s wonderful to work with the Mompreneur team on this,” said Adams. “It will be an excellent way to help us as a government put forward a budget that continues to build upon the priorities of busy moms and their families.”

The pre-budget consultation will take place on Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Oakville Conference Centre located at 2515 Wyecroft Road, Oakville. Registration begins at 10:00AM and the meeting will commence at 10:30AM. All moms and female business leaders in the GTA are welcome to attend and provide their input.
