Al Quds Committee's 20th Session Opens In Marrakech Under Chairmanship Of HM The King

MARRAKECH, Morocco - Jan. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- HM King Mohammed VI, chairman of Al Quds Committee, who was accompanied by HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, solemnly opened this Friday at the Royal palace in Marrakech the 20th session of Al Quds Committee, in the presence of President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas.

Al Quds Committee, an offshoot of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, is holding its 20th session from January 17 through 18.

Foreign ministers of the committee member-states, the OIC secretary general, High-level emissaries representing the UN Security Council permanent member-states, the EU, the Vatican, the UN and the Arab league are attending the Marrakech meeting.

In addition, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, accompanied by HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, and in the presence of President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, inaugurated on Friday at the Royal Palace of Marrakech, an exhibition showcasing the various initiatives undertaken by the Sovereign for the defense of the Palestinian cause, and the actions of Bayt Mal Al-Quds for the Maqdessis.
