GIC The Villa Collection launches 2014 brochure

A newly-launched portfolio of alluring villa escapes in Greece and Cyprus from GIC The Villa Collection is guaranteed to lift the spirits in the depths of the British winter, and whet the appetite for a slice of authentic Greek life.

PRLog - Jan. 17, 2014 - Eight exceptional hand-picked properties have been added for 2014 in the most glorious locations on the islands of Skopelos, Lefkas, Paxos and Crete, and in Stoupa, southern Peloponnese, ranging from a stylishly-renovated windmill converted into a cosy retreat for two with private pool, to a luxurious and romantic seven-bedroom boutique hotel with turrets, battlements, Mediterranean restaurant and relaxing spa.

Founded 45 years ago, GIC The Villa Collection has remained true to its original mission of offering the most delightful, secluded and thoughtfully-appointed properties in areas of Greece untouched by mass tourism, giving guests an authentic experience of the country’s culture, contrasts and wonderful landscapes.
Its dedicated team continues to seek out private retreats oozing special charm, whether it’s a breathtaking view from the terrace, a short stroll to a secret beach, a magnificent pool or the proximity of friendly tavernas offering delicious local fare. Many properties combine all of these features.

Says Managing Director of GIC The Villa Collection, Chris Wright: “We are happy to see so many regular and new clients travelling to Greece, and delighted to be expanding our portfolio of properties with some absolute gems for 2014. Our Greek friends and colleagues have been tremendously appreciative of our efforts to encourage visitors during recent years, and guests have been rewarded with exceptional levels of hospitality. Here at GIC The Villa Collection, we are all hoping that 2014 will be a year of recovery for the Greek economy, and we pledge our continued support.”

Villa Ibiscus, Stoupa (southern Peloponnese), sleeps two to four: a tastefully-designed villa with private pool, terraces and glorious views from the mountains to the Gulf of Messina, Villa Ibiscus is an ideal base for discovering the treasures of the Mani, just a few minutes’ drive from the characterful fishing harbour of Agios Nicolaos with its waterfront tavernas and cafés, and ten minutes from the lovely seaside village and pretty beaches of Stoupa. Prices from £721 pp (four sharing).*

* Prices include return flights, car hire where applicable - or transfers - a complimentary welcome pack, plus maid service and linen change twice weekly.

The lead-in price for a seven-night stay at Vassili’s Apartment in Kefalonia is from £558 pp (four sharing), including return flights (Gatwick) and car hire. Early booking offers (book before 28 February 2014) include reductions of up to £300 per booking for one and two-week stays at selected properties.  Multi-centre holidays are easily organised.

Thanks to a hugely positive reaction from clients to the new flights operated by Germania on behalf of GIC The Villa Collection in 2013, the company has re-contracted the airline to carry its Gatwick clients in 2014, offering the assurance of precision performance, punctuality and first-rate, courteous service at the beginning and end of the holiday. Says Wright: “As a charter operator, our inclusive holiday prices offer much greater value than those of the ‘no-frills’ flight operators. No frills’ peak season flights can cost double that of our very high standard Germania flights, which offer full catering and a 20kg baggage allowance.”
