The holiday will commence with a private tour of the Burmese capital, Yangon, where the first two nights will be spent. The first birding excursions will take place in Moeyungyi Wetlands and HlawgaNational Park, before flying to Bagan and on to Kanpetlet in the Chin Hills for trekking, wildlife spotting in Mount Victoria National Park. and visits to a number of Chin villages. Following a guided tour of Bagan's ancient temples there will be a flight to Mandalay to board a private charter boat up the Irrawaddy, stopping at a local fishing village to witness the co-operative fishing between locals and the Irrawaddy Dolphins. On day 15 of the suggested itinerary – all itineraries can be tailored to the needs of guests – there will be a chance to visit the Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp for a full- day, hands-on experience at this important conservation project. Inle Lake is one of the best places in the whole of Burma for bird watching and there will a private boat available to cruise the lake and spot the amazing wildlife with a local guide, before flying back to Yangon to begin the journey home.
