PRLog - Jan. 16, 2014 - SAN ANTONIO -- Armando Montelongo (www.armandomontelongo.com) is no stranger to making newsworthy purchases - in recent news he has expressed interest in purchasing local Arena Football League team, the San Antonio Talons.  His name was plastered across headlines in Houston as he acquired a sizeable office building in the city's growing center.  But his most recent transaction, via eBay, is what, he's most proud about.  He's won the opportunity to be the last photo, number 1005, in the acclaimed 1005 Faces Project (https://www.facebook.com/1005Faces) launched by local photographer Sarah Brooke Lyons.

"One of the focuses of Armando Montelongo Companies this year is to give back to the great city we live in and those who are in need", a humble message from whom A&E viewers would say is an outspoken businessman.

He set out on the bidding war at around 10pm on Sunday, and learned that his final bid of $2225 had won this coveted spot.  All of the proceeds go towards helping 5-year old Macy Duke in her fight with Leukemia.

Brooke Lyons began 1005 Faces with the help of DreamWeek founder Shokare Nakpodia in 2013; now during DreamWeek's second year 1005 photos have finally been taken.

Just two days after the auction Montelongo and Brook Lyons were invited by award winnin San Antonio morning show, Great Day SA, to take the final photo on-air, LIVE.  Montelongo also surprised the project founder with an additional donation of $1005 to help with Macy Duke's treatment -  the gift has sparked a domino effect of anonymous donors who have donated $1005 each for this noble cause.

Montelongo plans to attend the 1005 Faces Exhibit Party on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 6pm hosted by the Southwest School of Art in downtown San Antonio.
