ACAC Posts 90% Retention Rate in 2013

PHOENIX - Feb. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- The American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC) has published its retention rates for 2013, which show that 90% of certificants expiring last year elected to recertify and retain their designations.  By this measure, ACAC certifications were among the most valuable in the environmental industry in 2013.

ACAC certifications are current for two years only, at which time recertification is required.  Those recertifying must document at least 40 hours of relevant professional development activities.  In addition, they must comply as necessary with random auditing of their continuing education.

ACAC reported that of all certificants selected for random auditing in 2013, only one (1) candidate failed to document sufficient professional development.

“It is gratifying to know that ACAC certification programs have such obvious value to our certificants,” said Charlie Wiles, ACAC executive director.  “We are very proud of our continued association with these experienced professionals.”

Certificants renewing their designations in 2013 joined more than 3,000 ACAC certificants around the world.  A continuously updated directory of current ACAC certificants can be found on the ACAC website.
