Beverly Kuykendall presents "Unwritten Rules" to NAWBO Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES - Jan. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Beverly Kuykendall, President of Government Business at American Medical Depot Presents, “Unique Considerations and Tactics for Corporate Engagement” as a part of the National Association of Women Business Owners’ (NAWBO) Supplier Readiness Certificate Program.  The Program candidly explores the unwritten rules of the game from an “insiders” perspective and addresses critical steps for corporate engagement during various stages in the procurement process.  Business owners will learn how to structure a strategic approach and leverage key contacts to gain business in the public and private sector. Since joining AMD in January, 2013, Ms. Kuykendall has been actively engaged in the oversight of both the strategic and operational aspects of the government segment of American Medical Depot, a diversified health care distribution and information technology company.

Ms. Kuykendall has more than 20 years of senior level organization leadership working with entrepreneurs in startup companies, governmental agencies at the Federal and State levels as well as Fortune 50 companies.  In addition to numerous other awards and recognition received through the years, she was named as the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2013 Small Business Champion of the Year by the Los Angeles district office. “I am thrilled by the opportunity to work with entrepreneurs poised to do business with big corporations or the government, and eager to share proven strategies and tactics that, when used properly, net phenomenal results.” Ms. Kuykendall is grateful to American Medical Depot for their commitment to fostering opportunities for all small businesses and pleased that this relationship with NAWBO-LA is perfectly aligned with one of AMD’s key initiatives.

The Peak Leadership Academy and the Supplier Readiness Certificate Program are sponsored by Southern California Edison (SCE) and the NAWBO-LA Foundation. The 2-day session is designed to address key areas of importance to corporations and the government during various stages of the procurement process.  The program is designed for both prime and sub-prime contractors; and will take place on January 24 and February 7, 2014 from 10:30am-3:30pm at the City Club, Los Angeles, 555 South Flower Street, 51st Floor, Los Angeles, CA  90071.
