Thirsty Duck, LP Appoints New Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing

TRINITY, Fla. - Jan. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Thirsty Duck, LP announced today that Brian Shugrue has joined the firm as the new Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  Brian comes with a wealth of experience, having spent the last 24 years at Siemens.  He has had regional and national roles managing all Water Technologies product lines, and was fully responsible for bookings, gross margins, and market growth in the water and wastewater industry.

Brian will establish a network of distributors and independent sales manufacturer representatives while representing Thirsty Duck on a national scale.  Brian comments “The game-changing technology that Thirsty Duck brings to the market is very exciting, and I look forward to helping Jon and his outstanding team take it into the mainstream of the stormwater industry.”

Thirsty Duck LP designs, manufactures and markets two lines of self-skimming, patented floating outlets that have the ability to achieve nearly constant discharge regardless of headwater depth. When sized to deliver the maximum allowable outflow rate, detention storage volume can be reduced by up to 50%, depending on site-specific hydrologic characteristics, analysis method and regulatory agency criteria. The excess system volume can be utilized to meet client- or project-specific needs such as providing additional water quality volume in environmentally sensitive areas and providing additional flood attenuation volume in flood prone areas or more buildable land when property size is limited.
