WALDWICK, N.J. - Jan. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Medical professionals, buyers, specifiers, and business partners from the Middle East North African (MENA) region will find the USA’s newest and most important healthcare technologies displayed by more than 230 companies gathered in the U.S. International Pavilion at Arab Health 2014. The major healthcare show in the MENA region, Arab Health takes place January 27-30, 2014 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Dubai, UAE.

With nearly 20% more exhibitors than last year, the U.S. Pavilion is the largest American group ever to assemble at Arab Health.  More than 70 of this year’s exhibitors have never been seen before at the show. Exhibitors represent 32 U.S. states and will showcase their capabilities in 4,200 sqm--about the size of a regulation soccer field--in Halls 1 and 2, and Zabeel Hall.

Finding products and services in the U.S. Pavilion will be easier than ever with its new mobile app. Visitors can download myhealthshowguide.com to plan their visit, make appointments, and discover what’s new in the pavilion.

International event management firm Kallman Worldwide Inc. is organizing the U.S. Pavilion at Arab Health for the 20th consecutive time.

Tom Kallman, President and CEO of Kallman Worldwide, said, “Nearly 1,500 American companies have exhibited in U.S. Pavilions organized by Kallman Worldwide at Arab Health since 1995.” He added, “The innovation and technologies they present help further the quality of healthcare in the Middle East in ways that markedly improve lives--and livelihoods. We’re proud to assist in accomplishing that goal.”

Kallman Middle East is headquartered in Dubai and led by Mac McClelland, Jr., who said, “We’re excited to share our 30+ years of experience in the region with these Arab Health exhibitors. Our knowledge of the culture and the protocols, as well as our relationships and connections, make the difference to the exporters from the U.S. as well as their Middle Eastern customers. The benefits of firsthand knowledge can’t be overstated.”

Recognizing the capability and exhibition expertise of Kallman Worldwide, the show is trade-certified by the U.S. Department of Commerce. The Honorable Michael Corbin, U.S. Ambassador to the UAE, will again cut the ribbon on the U.S. Pavilion. He will then take an escorted tour of the U.S. Pavilion, briefed by exhibitors on the latest American products and services.

NOTES FOR EDITORS

The healthcare market in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries represents an outstanding business opportunity for U.S. companies. A fast growing population, rising income levels, increased prevalence of sedentary lifestyle diseases, and trend towards implementation of mandatory health insurance are key drivers behind the growing demand for quality healthcare in the region[1]. Consequently, GCC governments are making significant investments to build healthcare infrastructure and improve the quality of healthcare delivery to international standards[2]. During the 2013-2018 period, healthcare spending is projected to triple to US $133bn while growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.3%[3]. In 2012, U.S. exports of medical equipment to the Middle East region amounted to $1.1bn[4]. These statistics provide an idea of the magnitude in US $’s of the business opportunity for U.S. companies.

Through Trade Fair Certification, the U.S. Commercial Service recognizes the capability and exhibition experience of Kallman Worldwide to organize a world class event for U.S. exhibitors to showcase products and services for the aerospace/defense industry. The show serves as an excellent venue for U.S. companies to establish and expand overseas distribution, generate sales leads, evaluate competitors, and to work with U.S. Commercial Service Trade Specialists to identify potential buyers and partners.
