Announces New Sunday Worship Services

Traditional Service now at 9 a.m. in the Chapel

Contemporary Service to be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla.  January 15, 2014:   The Board of the Altamonte Chapel and Sanctuary, a United Church of Christ community church, announced today it has changed its Sunday worship services, effective Feb. 2, 2014.  The new worship schedule is now:

9:00 a.m.  - Worship service (traditional music) in the Chapel with Nursery provided

10:30 a.m. – Worship service (contemporary music) in the Sanctuary with Sunday School and Nursery offered

In keeping with the vision of the United Church of Christ, the Altamonte Chapel and Sanctuary is a welcoming church family who invites anyone to worship at its church.

“No matter who you are, or where you are in Life’s journey, you are welcome here.  We respect the uniqueness of every person’s relationship with God, and we are a welcoming church family that aims to meet the spiritual needs of our community,” said Altamonte Chapel and Sanctuary Pastor Robert Melhorn.

“We believe in living the faith and invite you to join us at either of our new worship services to learn how.  I encourage everyone to get involved as we partner with local schools, social service agencies, and churches to serve the hungry and the homeless in our neighborhood and all around the world,” Melhorn added.

In addition to these new Sunday worship services, the Altamonte Chapel and Sanctuary offers Sunday School and Nursery for children of all ages during the 10:30 a.m. service; weekly Bible Study on Wednesdays; a choir for those who like to sing; a jazz jam for musicians who like to play; lots of church fellowship and community activities throughout the year, including a nearly new sale, Fall Festival, pumpkin patch and much more.
