PRLog - Jan. 15, 2014 - MIAMI -- With international buyers scooping up Miami condos from Brickell to Bal Harbour, The Astor Companies is launching a new residential development in Miami’s historic Little Havana neighborhood. InTown (http://www.intowncondos.com/), a $95 million condominium project slated to rise at 1900 SW 8th Street, will deliver upscale comfort, luxury amenities, and the conveniences of urban living without the steep price tag. Located just a few miles from the shores of Biscayne Bay, InTown residents will enjoy access to public transit links, proximity to major employment hubs, and the walkability of the vibrant Little Havana district, which is coming alive with new businesses, dining and entertainment offerings. The 14-story, two-tower development will feature 320 luxury residences, and include decorator furnishings designed by Interiors by Steven G. Construction will get underway in September 2014 and is expected to be completed by early 2016, with prices ranging from the $190,000s to the $300,000s.

Miami’s historic Little Havana neighborhood is known for its culturally-rich and colorful lifestyle, authentic cuisines, and pulsating nightlife. InTown will be located just off Southwest 8th Street (Calle Ocho) and 19th Avenue, within walking distance of the Tower Theater, Domino Park, and countless shops, art galleries, restaurants and lounges that have opened in recent years. The neighborhood’s revitalization is due in large part to the surging residential and commercial activity in the nearby Downtown Miami/Brickell areas, which is generating a positive spillover effect on the Little Havana district.

“While many new residential developments are being constructed in the nearby areas of Brickell and Downtown, Miami’s iconic Little Havana neighborhood has remained largely untapped,” said Peter Torres, vice president of The Astor Companies, the project’s developer. “InTown will give residents in search of luxury living an opportunity to live in one of Miami’s most diverse, energetic and centrally-located areas.”

Intown will be located just three miles west of Downtown Miami’s Brickell Financial District; close to the high-end shopping complex Brickell CityCentre (currently under construction); and only minutes away from surrounding neighborhoods such as Midtown Miami, the Miami Design District, Wynwood, Coconut Grove and Coral Gables.

“Little Havana is the pulse of Miami in so many ways, and yet the district lacks true luxury living,” said Alicia Cervera Lamadrid, managing partner of Cervera Real Estate, the project’s exclusive sales and marketing partner. “InTown offers luxurious residences and a contemporary lifestyle – all at an accessible price point and in a location that’s within reach of everything Miami has to offer.”

With six different floor plan styles, the project’s one, two and three-bedroom condo and townhome units will be in finished “move-in ready” condition, and will include stainless steel GE® appliances, Italkraft® cabinetry, Aqualife® kitchen faucets, and Moen® bathroom fixtures. Fully-furnished options will be available for purchase, with interior decorator furnishings designed by Interiors by Steven G.

Building amenities will include a 14,000 square foot open-air pool deck on the fourth floor; 65-foot-long swimming pool; state-of-the-art fitness center; business center; and club room with billiards tables and a theater room. Additional perks include valet service; 24-hour concierge and an on-site security; and 18,000 square feet of convenient ground floor retail and restaurant space.

The Astor Companies is a well-capitalized, privately held real estate development company based in Miami, Florida with extensive experience in the successful development of numerous residential projects throughout South Florida, including Brickell Vista, Gateway to the Grove, Valencia, and Nordica – as well as Merrick Manor, the firm’s most recent luxury condominium slated to rise in Coral Gables.

The firm has assembled an all-star design and construction team for InTown with Behar Font & Partners serving as the building’s architect; Interiors by Steven G. Inc. overseeing interior design and furnishings; and Milton Construction serving as general contractor.
