Global Institute for Travel Entrepreneurs to Host Think Tank Feb. 17 & 18 in Charlotte, NC

The Think Tank Will Center around the Theme of Increasing Visibility for Travel Professionals

PRLog - Jan. 15, 2014 - CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Global Institute for Travel Entrepreneurs (GIFTE) is excited to announce its upcoming Think Tank Retreat, “Invisible to Invincible: Time to Revolutionize the Travel Agent Community.” The event is open to both GIFTE members and the wider travel professional community and will take place February 17th and 18th at the Ballantyne Hotel and Lodge in Charlotte, NC.

GIFTE Founder and President Meredith Hill will lead attendees in workshops focused on techniques for building influence and getting “seen” by clients and prospects. “From last year’s Woman’s Day article accusing travel professionals of being over-priced and obsolete, to our own president’s belief that travel advisors no longer exist, there’s a lot of misinformation out there about the value travel professionals truly provide,” said Hill.  “It’s time for the travel professional community to get seen and valued for who we really are – and that’s what I hope attendees will take away from this event.”

In keeping with the theme of visibility, guest speaker and online expert Sue B. Zimmerman will be sharing strategies to increasing one’s presence online through one of the fastest growing social media platforms – Instagram. A highly sought-after speaker and business coach, Zimmerman has been featured in various social media publications, has authored a best-selling ebook, Instagram Basics for Your Business, and has coached countless small business owners to social media success.

GIFTE has been hosting Think Tank Retreats since 2012; past topics range from nailing your niche to the three phases of selling travel. For many GIFTE members, each Think Tank Retreat is a must-attend, both for the compelling new content and community.

“The GIFTE Think Tank is an outstanding experience that offers travel professionals in-depth training that I have not found anywhere else in the industry. I didn't think this existed,” said past attendee Joanie Esparza of Much Needed Vacations. “In my opinion, if you want to take your business to the next level and beyond it is a must attend. I have been to two think tanks and will continue to attend because they’re that amazing.”

Tickets to the event are $147; to learn more and register visit http://travelbusinessu.com/ThinkTankCLT/Register.

The Global Institute for Travel Entrepreneurs was founded in 2011 by Meredith Hill in response to a desperate need for support, resources and tools for the committed travel consultant.
