PESHTIGO, Wis. - Jan. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- BPM Inc., a leading specialty paper mill in North America, has been selected as the 2014 Environmental Partner of the Year by the Environmental Club of St. Mary School Greenville, Wisconsin. The company was selected for this honor based on its dedication by serving as an “Environmental Corporate Role Model and supporter of Environmental Education.” The award was delivered to Jim Koronkiewicz, General Manager of BPM Inc.

"BPM is honored to be recognized by the Environmental Club for our overall commitment and dedication to environmental paper making, as well as our strong efforts to educate and represent responsible Wisconsin manufacturing," said Koronkiewicz. "At BPM, we recognize the responsibility to conserve resources for future generations -- and to help consumer’s make responsible choices, as well. We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our products, while delivering quality products and performance that's known with the BPM name."

As a U.S. Department of Energy Better Plants®, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR® and Wisconsin Focus on Energy®, BPM has aligned its priorities with the goals of each organization, working to protect resources through energy saving programs and practices, while keeping consumer’s needs top-of-mind.

To demonstrate the company's commitment, BPM’s office papers; Envirographic® 100 are also FSC-C019220 and SFI-00239 Certified.  Based on BPM’s environmental partnerships and third-party certifications, the Greenville Environmental Club chose BPM as their provider for office papers and has initiated the use of Envirographic 100 in all school copy machines, faxes and printers.

“Our students get so excited to know that they have started something good at our school.  They are passionate about learning the paper making process and have gained a wealth of information from BPM.  Since we began using Envirographic 100 three years ago, we have saved 72 trees, 33 million BTUS of energy, 6,206 pounds of CO2 equivalent of greenhouse gases, 33,655 gallons of water and 2,253 pounds of landfill waste,” commented James Wieser, Environmental Club Advisor.  “If a school in Wisconsin can make this kind of impact, just think of what other schools and businesses can do all together!”
