PRLog - Jan. 15, 2014 - FARMINGDALE, N.Y. -- FARMINGDALE, NY - January 15, 2014 – Indie Studio Inner Warrior has released the first episode of their animated action/drama superhero series today.  The episode can be seen online or can be purchased with additional special features and a tie-in comic on their website.

The show takes place in modern day Lighthaven City, a fictional city in which their police is privately owned by a select few living in the rich East End of the city. In the West End are the lower class citizens who have taken it upon themselves to create gangs to protect themselves from the police “owned by the upper class” as they put it.

Outlawed Justice is a character driven action/drama with grounded superhero tones and is inspired by more serious anime shows. “Characters die, they change, they grow. These characters are very human”, said co-creator Tony Piccirillo. “One other thing, there are superheroes on the show, but there isn’t any superpowers. The citizens of Lighthaven City have to look inside themselves to find the superhero within. Some embrace that superhero and adopt their inner warrior as their true identity while others don’t.”

OUTLAWED JUSTICE: BORN OF FLAMES - Series Premier: MEET BROTHERS TONY AND ALEX OF LIGHTHAVEN CITY - Tony awakens in a burning building, unaware as to what has happened and he can't find Alex. Meanwhile in the past Tony and Alex are living comfortably in the richer East End of Lighthaven City, thanks to Tony's job as a private police officer, but not for long!

The first episode “Born of Flames” can be seen either at their main website (http://www.innerwarriorstudios.com) or on their Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/innerwarriorstudios).

It can also be purchased in the Episode 1 Bundle which includes the episode, two commentary videos (one story based commentary and the other based on the technology involved in animating and editing the episode) as well as a behind the scenes featurette and a digital copy of issue 1 of the Outlawed Justice tie-in comic, which expands the story of the first episode.
