Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corp. Presents Challenge Winter

LEHIGHTON, Pa. - Jan. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- -The Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) has created an amazing and fun winter marketing campaign to draw tourists to Jim Thorpe and the surrounding areas of Carbon County between January and March of 2014. Its name is Challenge Winter.

During the first quarter of 2014, visitors to Jim Thorpe and surrounding areas of Carbon County will have the opportunity to book a stay at a participating Jim Thorpe B&B or Carbon County accommodation and purchase ticket(s) for various scheduled, fun Challenge Winter activities as well as attend other regular events in the area. Plus, Challenge Winter visitors will receive V.I.P. Access to shops in downtown Jim Thorpe during special hours and will be exposed to various Carbon County dining opportunities. Those visitors, who book a two-night stay, will also receive a red bagfrom their host filled with a variety of goodies and other discounts. All Challenge Winter activities and participating businesses and accommodations are listed on www.challengewinter.com . (New activities, accommodation packages and participating businesses are being added regularly, so check back often.)

But that is not all...Challenge Winter visitors may also take our “Winter Challenge” and enter our Challenge Winter Photo Contest, which will be conducted on Instagram and Facebook. To enter, you must take a fun and creative photo of yourself or with family and friends at a participating Challenge Winter location or while doing a Challenge Winter activity and include their RED BAG in the photo. Then, upload that photo to Instagram or Facebook with #challengewinter or tag the photo with Challenge Winter to be entered to win. You can also upload your photo with #challengewinter to our Challenge Winter page on Facebook at www.facebook.com/challengewinter to also be entered. (Be sure to LIKE and FOLLOW Challenge Winter on these social media sites to see your photos, receive updates, etc.)  One photo winner will be chosen by our Challenge Winter judges at the end of each month and awarded a fabulous prize package, which may be comprised of overnight or weekend stays, ski lift tickets, concert tickets, dinner gift certificates and more.

In addition, local businesses have great opportunities for co-op advertising by becoming a Challenge Winter Business or Sponsor. Expand your reach into new and larger markets and increase your brand recognition on the Internet. The Challenge Winter Promotional Campaign will be supported by sponsor dollars; therefore, the more sponsors we have, the more aggressive the advertising campaign becomes as far as frequency and reach.
