Dr. Kimberly Frazier Appointed Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) announced today the appointment of Dr. Kimberly Frazier as associate vice president of academic affairs.

ATLANTA - Jan. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Atlanta Technical College (ATC) announced today the appointment of Dr. Kimberly Frazier as associate vice president of academic affairs.

    At ATC, Dr. Frazier will have direct oversight of institutional effectiveness, institutional research, grants management, and the library.  In addition, she will lead the administration of key academic program areas, including curriculum review and development; distance learning; instructional design; K-12 and higher education partnerships; policy review; program development and accreditation; and faculty professional development.  Working closely with Dr. Murray J. Williams, vice president of academic affairs, Dr. Frazier will be instrumental in advancing key student success initiatives, such as Achieving the Dream, Complete College Georgia, Advancement via Individual Determination (AVID), and the Carl Perkins Grant Program.

    “Atlanta Technical College has experienced a period of unprecedented growth,” Williams said.  “We are expanding both our U.S. and international offerings to meet the growing needs of business and industry.  Dr. Frazier has a proven track record in managing major academic initiatives, and I look forward to working with her to provide a rich academic experience for all of our students.”

    Dr. Frazier’s academic career spans more than 20 years.  She has held numerous leadership positions, serving as the assistant vice president of student affairs for Auburn University, assistant professor of higher education and psychology at Kennesaw State University, director of new-student programs at Georgia State University, and residence education coordinator at University of South Carolina. A member of the National Association for Student Personnel Administration, Southeast Case Research Association, and Global Center for Teaching and Learning, she has conducted national and international lectures and keynote presentations on topics central to student learning and success.

    Dr. Frazier received a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Georgia State University and a Master of Liberal Arts from Winthrop University.  She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Clemson University and an associate degree in liberal arts from Anderson College.
