All equipment and tools required by teams to do their job efficiently and safely are well maintained and are removed from service at any point they are not in full operating condition.
Our management team is very aware of the industry trends as well as the constant and changing environments. We leverage all aspects of traditional and new media to maximize our business development. We offer many incentives to our clients and other lateral industries in order to secure new and ongoing contracts. These include the use of all social media such as Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and others to ensure we are engaging current and potential customers. Every client receives an evaluation form which are constantly reviewed and monitored to ensure service levels are at the highest levels. This ensures our high number of repeat and referral clients.
We ensure that any complaints or concerns of customers are dealt with in a quick and satisfactory manner to the client in order to ensure they know that they are the cornerstone of our business. Employees are not penalized for negative reviews and evaluations. We work as a company to find solutions immediately when we notice negative comments on evaluations. It is not about placing blame as it is about building a stronger team, company and service.
Benefits to employees are always being reviewed to ensure that we maintain high employee moral and satisfaction with their job. Some of these benefits include mobile phones that employees pay a portion of the monthly rate but they are heavily subsidized by the company. All phones have GPS abilities to allow drivers to map routes and save on fuel costs, increase on-time performance and find unfamiliar locations.
Kary Movers also provides cars to drivers for getting to and from work, personal use and car pooling with swampers (laborers). The vehicles are paid for by the company, maintenance is covered by the company and insurance is subsidized by the company. This is a benefit that is very rare in this industry and helps us to maintain our long term employees.
The company does have small emergency loans available for employees who may experience a personal emergency and there is no interest on these loans and are repayable over terms that are flexible and adjusted to employees income should they reduce hours available for work.
We have frequent family events such a quading, BBQ’s, Hockey nights, camping trips and other opportunities for everyone to spend time, off the clock together and have some fun with families and friends. This helps maintain moral but also reinforces the company’s value on employees keeping a healthy family work balance. It also allows the company to show appreciation for the employees.
Several times a year we participate in community projects together and families of employees are also encouraged to come out to participate. One such annual event is the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. Management, employees and family members get together at White Rock beach for the day. Everyone scours the beach for garbage and debris for removal. The kids have a blast exploring the beach, marine life and helping with the cleanup as well. After the event, everyone returns to the office for a BBQ, prize giveaways and other fun. This event is always a fun and memorable one but also increases awareness of our teams and brand in the local community.
The company encourages personal and professional development for all employees. From assisting laborers to advance to driver positions through company training and drivers license assistance for staff that does not have a current license. We assist and offer incentives including paying for drivers to upgrade their skills such as getting air endorsement for their driver’s license, paying for other courses for employees to improve their opportunities.
