Sioux Falls Poet, Joshua S. Kangley, Teaches 3 Year Old Daughter True Meaning of Christmas

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Jan. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Joshua S. Kangley, of Sioux Falls, SD, was looking for something different to do for the 2013 Christmas season and he found it by happen chance when he was inspired to write a Christmas Card for a stranger.

" I met this elderly woman who had such a great spirit about her. We just struck up a conversation and I came away inspired. That is the beauty of allowing yourself to meet different people and instead of closing yourself off to others, which is something we can all to easily do in today's society, open yourself up and just talk to someone new. You would be surprised what you can learn--about others and more importantly, yourself." "So, I went to find a card for this woman and discovered that I had a lot of extra cards left over from previous years and decided to give everyone in her apartment complex and surrounding buildings a card. It amounted to about 200 Christmas cards. I enjoyed it. I took along my daughter and we hand delivered them all a card with a message I had written inside each one."

The 35 year old businessman and poet plans on doing it again every year now and will double the amount of cards he delivers. "My goal for 2014 is 400 cards to complete strangers. If I can inspire someone to do something for someone else or if it brightens their Holidays just a pinch then it worth it to me. Most importantly, I want my daughter to see that Christmas is a time for giving".
