Oliver Wolcott Library Art Gallery- Mixed Media by Litchfield Public Schools

In this lively exhibit the students at the Litchfield Public Schools created a variety of artwork from landscapes to self-portraits utilizing a plethora of techniques and art media. At the Oliver Wolcott Library from January 29- February 27, 2014.
 
LITCHFIELD, Conn. - Jan. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Litchfield Center School and Litchfield Intermediate School in the gallery from January 29- February 11, 2014.  In this lively exhibit the students at the Litchfield Center School have created artwork using themes from Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Georgia O'Keeffe and Pablo Picasso.  These famous artist's ideas influenced Center School students to create colorful landscapes, seascapes, self-portraits, abstract flowers and Cubism-like pictures by utilizing a variety of lines, shapes, and color in their artwork.

  The Litchfield Intermediate School and 7th Grade artwork displays their knowledge of the elements of art and principles of design using a variety of media and techniques.   Students’ ideas and work is inspired by artists such as, Albrecht Durer, M.C. Escher, Roy Lichtenstein, and Tammy Garcia, as well as abstract expressionist artists.

  Litchfield High School in the gallery from February 12- February 27, 2014.  The student art work on display in this exhibit bears witness to the inspiration, dedication and skill of Litchfield High School Art students.  The work represents the best efforts of Art students who participated in first semester 2 Dimensional Art Foundation, 3 Dimensional Art Foundation, Drawing, Sculpture, Craft or Advanced Placement Art classes.
