Everson, Sproles Named Managing Editors for Two New Imprints

Eva Marie Everson, named Managing Editor of Firefly Southern Fiction

(Raleigh NC) Eddie Jones, founder of Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas (LPC), announced this week the appointment of managing editors for two more of the six new imprints the Raleigh, NC, publisher is bringing to the marketplace. One of the nation’s fastest-growing publishers, LPC has focused on creating new outlets for emerging and established authors.

Eva Marie Everson, who lives in Central Florida, has been appointed Acquisitions and Managing Editor of Firefly Southern Fiction, which will publish stories set in the contemporary and historical American South. Eva Marie Everson is a best-selling author and has won multiple awards for her works of Southern Fiction. She is the president of Word Weavers International, Inc. (http://www.word-weavers.com/) and the director of Florida Christian Writers Conference. (http://www.floridacwc.net/)

Mrs. Everson explains that Firefly Southern Fiction “will be stories that entertain, have strong plots, and include elements of family and faith. Above everything else, we want stories that are heartfelt and true to Southern roots.” Literary agencies interested in receiving proposal and submission guidelines should contact Mrs. Everson at FireflySouthernFiction@aol.com.

LPC’s devotional imprint, Sonrise Devotionals, will publish inspirational writings by Christian authors. Cindy Sproles, of Kingsport, TN, has been appointed Acquisitions and Managing Editor for this imprint. Mrs. Sproles is a teacher and author who speaks nationwide at Christian writer’s conferences and retreats. She is Executive Editor of www.christiandevotions.us. As the author of three devotional books and one novel, Mrs. Sproles understands what it takes to make a successful non-fiction manuscript. She founded and directs the Writers ADVANCE! Boot Camp Conference, which specializes in guiding and refining both new and seasoned writers in their careers.

According to Mrs. Sproles, Sonrise Books is especially interested in “unique and out-of-the-box devotionals.” Literary agencies interested in receiving proposal and submission guidelines should contact Mrs. Sproles at cindyksproles@gmail.com.

Jones notes that these new imprints have been established “to create new outlets for authors of non-fiction and various genres of fiction. By creating a new publishing platform for authors who can publish in e-book and print-on-demand form, LPC creates opportunities for both new and established authors, while providing assistance with marketing and publicity, and generous royalty arrangements, including monthly royalty payments.”

Jones noted that the managing editor for Heritage Beacon Fiction, the historical fiction imprint of LPC, and for Brimstone Fiction, the inspirational speculative fiction imprint, will be announced in the coming weeks.
