Jan. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- ISSAQUAH, WA,  – The leader in North America bike tours, Bicycle Adventures (http://bicycleadventures.com/), celebrates its 30th anniversary this year by offering retro pricing -- $1,984 -- for each of nine four-day tours in a new 1984 Tour Series including three urban-adventure tours, several National Park locales and an Olympic or sprint-distance triathlon.

“I’m excited to be able to offer a line of tours commemorating the founding of Bicycle Adventures in 1984,” says Todd Starnes, president/owner (http://bicycleadventures.com/) “We’re proud to say that we’re still family owned and operated, and that we’ve stayed true to our roots: you can still ride your bike every single day on our trips at a pace most comfortable to you.”

The 1984 Tour Series are all four-day/three-night trips for a range of ability levels. Included in the $1,984 rate (per person, double) are fine lodging and dining, cycling with a mix of other activities, bicycles and other necessary equipment, and full guide and van support.

A sampling of 1984 Series trips includes:

1984 – Death Valley National Park (http://bicycleadventures.com/tours/classic-bike-tours/198...): Guests ride through the biggest National Park in the Lower 48. Death Valley's diversity is unmatched: 200 miles of eerie salt flats, deceptively velvety sand dunes, crazy-stripe badlands, valleys, canyons and mountains.  At host accommodation, Furnace Creek Ranch, guests can fit in a round of golf (at the course with the world's lowest elevation), go horseback riding or just sit in the sun by the pool. The trip begins and ends in Las Vegas. Departures are Feb. 16, Mar. 2, 6, 13 and 16, and Oct. 12.

1984 – Idaho Lakes & Rivers (http://bicycleadventures.com/tours/classic-bike-tours/198...): About this brand-new trip for 2014 Starnes says that Northern Idaho, “is the closest you'll ever get to heaven on a bike.” A network of paved rails-to-trails paths amble along rivers and lakes, through wildlife refuges and pure wilderness with nary a car in sight. Accommodation is the historic Roosevelt Inn (Coeur d'Alene's oldest remaining schoolhouse). Activities include lake swimming, hiking, golfing and paddling.  The gateway town is Coeur d’Alene. Departures are June 15, July 6 and Aug. 10.

1984 – Seattle Sampler (http://bicycleadventures.com/destinations/washington-bike...): This urban adventure that showcases the best of the Emerald City explores waterfront trails, includes time at Pike Place Market, visits the home of the original Starbucks, rides rolling Bainbridge Island, samples vintages of Woodinville's wineries and kayaks the Ballard locks. Guests don’t have to be super-fit roadies as this is graded easy to moderate in difficulty. The departures are July 17 and Aug. 14 to take advantage of Thursday through Sunday weekend escapes.

1984 – Three Lakes Triathlon Tour (http://bicycleadventures.com/destinations/washington-bike-tours/1984---Three-Lakes-Triathlon-Tour---NEW): This trip for those who welcome challenges centers on Lakedale Resort at Three Lakes on San Juan Island.  Guests can engage in the Three Lakes Triathlon (Olympic or Sprint distance; entry fee included in trip price), do a 5K or 10K run, swim, sea kayak and ride the bike course. The trip begins and ends in Seattle. The departure date is June 19.

Additional trips in the series are:
