Seminar for Placement Training, Organized at DPGITM Engineering College

GURGAON, India - Jan. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Gurgaon, January 2014- DPGITM Engineering College inviteda US based consultancy company- Deloitte Consultancy India Pvt. Ltd., US Hyderabad- India with the motive of guiding its students on different aspects of training and placements. A team of 30-35 members from Deloitte visited the campus. On the occasion a seminar was also organised wherein students were described about Resume Writing, Presentation Skills, Time management and other important aspects of career and job. The event went very well in the supervision of Mr J S Mehewal- Principal, DPGITM Engineering College. The Chief Guest of the event was Mr Tarun Nanda- consultant, S A P, Package Technology- Deloitte. On the occasion Chairman- Mr Rajender Gahlot, Vice Chairman- Deepak Gahlot and other faculty members were also present. Around 80-100 students participated in the event.

Tarun Nanda, while encouraging students, said today’s youngsters are very talented and have got a good knowledge in their respective area but to get job in Big MNC’s only talent is not the selection criteria. Candidates need to keep in mind that from resumes to their wardrobe is analyzed during Interview. In addition to their talent and intelligence, candidates need to show the art of self-presentation, skills of effective speech and approach towards the job and market to get their dream job. He appreciated the event and wished students a great success in their lives.

Principal J S Mehenwal said that there will be an extremely hard life out of college in which the way to success is not so easy and smooth. Students need to put their best endeavor to prove themselves. Talking about the event he said that the event was organized with the motive of making students aware about strategies of attaining success in interviews. We arrange this kind of events in future also.

During the event students were told about the effective interview skills including the way of presentation and speech skills. Through presentations students were informed about the importance of overall personality and communicated the ways of personality development. The event was not only informative but interactive too. Students and faculty members also asked their queries and shared their views. Student- Rakesh said that the event was very interesting, knowledgeable and helpful for interview preparation. The event ended with a thanks note by Principal J S Mehenwal.
